breaking the champagne bottle against the ship

Ah, what better way to begin this blog than after I’ve have had the perfect fuck.

I’m a part time grad student but also have a full time day job, though I’d have to say that my true passion is passion itself. Sex. Lovemaking. Fucking. Screwing. Getting it on.. whichever name convention that excites you most. And I’m not just talking about sex as a crude, physical act which (hopefully) culminates in orgasm – I’m talking about intimacy, in all forms, as one of the rawest, truest, hottest, most creative forms of self-expression. It defines who we are: we realize and develop preferences, fetishes, aversions, intrigue.. all in the pursuit of figuring out what it is that will blow our top off.

In my short life I’ve devoted much time, energy, and lubricant to the pursuit of exploring what it is that makes us squirm, not just because of how good it feels but because of how satisfying it is in every sense of the word. To liberate ourselves in discovering our sexual being, to realize that it is nothing of which we should be ashamed, is not just to accept but to embrace it as an aspect of the human existence that 1. will never go away and 2. cannot afford to go unexplored without reservation.. that is, unless you don’t want to get off.

So that this blog stays in perspective: I do not intend to advance a personal agenda of what sex should be, nor do I support any one definition of intimacy. That said, I will not tolerate any criticisms or condemnations of how others express themselves sexually so long as what is discussed is not purposefully harmful and/or psychologically/emotionally scarring. I also expect us to be both mindful and sensitive regarding issues that may prove such for some of us. I hope in hearing from all of you that I expand my knowledge-base even more and to learn about sexuality from outside my limited lived experience as a heterosexual American woman in her early 20s, living in a big cosmopolitan American city.

So here’s to beginning what I hope will become a forum to learn, to offer advice, to inquire, and to embrace the beauty of who we are through the gift of human sexuality – without ever having to hold back.

Ladies and gentlemen: start your engines.
